That leads to the next important point for buying a road bike. You might think you want the fastest bike, but if you can’t get comfortable on it, you’ll never ride it or be fast on it. Race bikes are honed for speed, and endurance bikes are honed for comfort. One of the first questions you should ask yourself is do you want a race bike or an endurance/sportive model.
